The Minnesota Starvation Experiment

During World War II, psychologist Ancel Keys at the University of Minnesota designed a study to learn the most effective way of rehabilitating starving people after the war. Keys would put consenting participants on a semi-starvation diet for six months before beginning the rehabilitation process.
